Bojangles to serve up chicken ‘n biscuits for first time in Austin area

A Southern comfort fast food chain is expanding its footprint in the Lone Star State, with a planned debut in the Austin area for the first time. The company isn’t unfamiliar with Texans’ appetite for all things fried chicken, with its inaugural restaurant in the San Antonio two years ago drawing lines around the building for those seeking a crispy chicken supreme combo alongside sweet tea.

Bojangles , known for its chicken ‘n biscuits, is set to open a location in the Austin suburb of Georgetown , according to project filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation registered on April 24. The restaurant is planned at 4808 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78633 with an estimated construction cost of $1.7 million, per TDLR documents.

Construction is tentatively set to begin September 1 and is aiming to wrap on April 30, 2026, based on current project timelines outlined in TDLR. The 3,214-square-foot fast food restaurant will serve up Bojangles’ classic menu favorites , including biscuit sandwiches, fried chicken dinners, side “fixins” including fries, dirty rice, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and cole slaw as well as desserts like sweet potato pie…
