AUSTIN, Texas — Homeowners in Travis County are running out of time to protest their property appraisals, with the deadline set for May 15 or 30 days after receiving a notice.

Each spring, Travis County property owners receive a Notice of Appraised Value if their market value has increased by at least $1,000. This document includes the market value as of Jan. 1 and the taxable value based on exemptions.
