Kyle, Atascosa residents test positive for measles

The ongoing measles outbreak — the worst to hit Texas in 30 years — has logged its first case in the Hill Country between San Antonio and Austin.

A resident of Kyle has tested positive for the virus, according to the Hays County Health Department. The Texas Department of State Health Services, which has been tracking the outbreak, notified the department of the positive test.
