AUSTIN (KXAN) — A new spot to cool off officially opened in east Austin Saturday morning after two years of construction.
Austin Parks and Recreation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Colony Park Pool, which is located at 7400 Loyola Lane.
Pool-goers can now enjoy a lap pool, water slide, spray features, diving board, and, as part of Austin’s Art in Public Places program, the pool will also get a permanent art installation.
“While it will primarily serve the Colony Park and Lakeside communities, the pool will draw visitors from around the city and will be open year-round with no entrance fee,” the city said…
