Trolley Pub-Austin faces uncertain future after storm damage

AUSTIN, Texas — Trolley Pub-Austin faces an uncertain future after a powerful microburst last Wednesday uprooted a massive tree, which then fell and crushed all three of its trolleys. Now, the company is looking for new ways to make a comeback as they are currently bringing in no money and providing no tours.

Shawn Kint, the owner of Trolley Pub Austin, was out of town when the tree fell through the metal fence and collapsed onto the company’s trollies. Managers who were there sent him photos of the devastation.

“The size of a tree that would take two people to hug around it,” Kint said. “I couldn’t even see one of them. It was completely covered in the tree and shrubbery. It was effectively a pancake, is the way I call it.”…
