AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-based neurotechnology company Paradromics says it has reached a major milestone in brain technology.
The company, which is developing the “highest data-rate brain-computer interface platform,” said it recently completed its first in-human procedure involving what it calls the Connexus Brain-Computer Interface (BCI).
The surgical implantation of the device was led by a neurosurgeon and biomedical engineer at the University of Michigan during an epilepsy resection surgery, to better understand how epilepsy influences brain signaling.
