Multiple companies have come to the Lone Star State for the amenities it offers. One of the states that Texas took companies away from was none other than California. Some of the businesses mentioned by The Austin are HPE, Oracle, and Tesla. But, the only constant thing in life is change.
Over time, people associated in tech have stated that travel to their jobs in Austin became more difficult, as well as things getting more expensive have pushed them away from the state. In addition, worries about the area around Austin being in a little bit of disrepair.
Overall, according to The Austin, 1.6% jobs were lost in the area of Big Tech, while 4.9% of startup sector were lost too in 2024. But, where are they going?
