AUSTIN (KXAN) — To keep those in the homeless community cool during the summer months, the city of Austin is ensuring that the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) is open daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to a city news release, the city’s Homeless Strategy Office (HSO) is partnering with Urban Alchemy to offer that daytime cooling. The ARCH is located at 500 E. Seventh St.
The center welcomes pets, and those who come to the center “will have access to drinking water, phone charging, and restrooms.”…
