Despite drunk driving awareness, deadly crashes on the rise

AUSTIN (KXAN) — AAA Texas refers to the summer months as the 100 most deadly days for young drivers. Despite decades of anti-drunk driving campaigns, the numbers show drunk driving-related crashes rising across the state.

Drunk driving became illegal in all 50 states in 1988, so Americans have been hearing about the horrors of driving while intoxicated for decades.
