Travis County Deputies Investigate Shooting in Hornsby Bend, Suspects at Large

Deputies from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating a shooting that transpired this Thursday afternoon near Hornsby Bend in eastern Travis County, with suspects still unaccounted for following the incident.

The sheriff’s office received reports of gunshots around 12:40 p.m., shortly after a male victim crashed his vehicle into a tree on the 3700 block of Mims Cove, as reported by KVUE; the authorities discovered the victim had sustained a gunshot wound and he was later transported to a hospital with his condition not publicly known at the moment and the law enforcement equipped with air support and a K9 unit swept the area, however, their search efforts have yet to yield the whereabouts of the two suspects they’ve been hunting.

The nature of the relationship between the victim and the suspects has led the investigators to believe that the shooting was an isolated incident, and they confirmed that the shooting occurred elsewhere in the neighborhood, indicating the homes within the subdivision were not involved, according to the same KVUE report…
