AUSTIN, Texas — Dispensaries in Austin are breathing a sigh of relief after Governor Greg Abbott vetoed a bill that aimed to ban THC products across the state. Although they said this is a positive step for the Texas Hemp Industry, dispensaries across Austin agree there needs to be more regulations on these products.
On Sunday, June 22, Governor Greg Abbott had until 11:59 pm to take action on any outstanding bills. Perhaps one of the bills with the most eyes on it was Senate Bill 3, the THC Ban Bill. Michael Sterling, the owner of Capital American Shaman in North Austin, said he couldn’t take his eyes off the clock.
