The Texas heat affects everyone in different ways. When the heat begins to bear down, everybody looks for shelter from it. That includes our animal friends in the state of Texas, and there are ways for us in the Central Texas area to help.

What Is The Main Concern For Animals In Central Texas?

Per KXAN, worries over wild animals in Central Texas isn’t a new issue. Austin Wildlife Rescue’s executive director, Jules Maron said of people alerting them to the situation: “It is nonstop in the summer…sometimes we come in the morning and [the phone has] 20 voicemails.”

But some in the state do take matters into their own hands, and make attempts to help a Texas animal hurting due to the heat. But not all wild animals need the help, and some people might not actually know the best course of action the assist. So what can one do?

According to Maron, some Texans make a massive error when trying to keep animals safe and sound:

“People could be tempted to throw ice out or douse with a water hose, but you could inadvertently drown an animal…Provisioning a small dish is going to be the best thing.”…
