TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — The discovery of the body of a 10th flood victim in Travis County could mark the end of that county’s recovery efforts. The search in Northwest Travis County has been slowed by massive amounts of debris, making it hard for search crews to reach some areas without the help of excavation crews.
“Search efforts are challenging because there is literally a wall of debris all the way down for about an 18-mile stretch,” said Kristen Dark, PIO with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.
