Travis County flood claims 10 lives as rescue efforts continue for the missing

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KEYE) — Texas Game Wardens continued search and rescue operations Thursday alongside multiple state and local agencies in Travis County, where 10 people have been confirmed dead others remain missing from the July 5 flooding.

The multi-agency effort includes Texas Task Force 2, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Military Department, the Travis County Sheriff’s Office, Travis County Emergency Services and numerous out-of-state agencies. A Texas Game Warden human remains detection K-9 team was scheduled to join Thursday’s search operations, with unmanned aerial systems providing additional support.
