Austin record store End of An Ear struck by car, forced to close Thursday

Austin record store End of An Ear closed for business Thursday after the building being struck by a car in the morning. According to a post on the shop’s Instagram, a car crashed into the side of their 4304 Clawson Rd. store at 7:40 a.m.

End of An Ear has been at this location since moving from their original location on S. First Street in 2016. Owners describe the store as “a place for physical media lovers, artists and fans.” End of an Ear has hosted the likes of Phoebe Bridges, Black Pumas, Durand Jones, Band of Horses, Voxtrot, Alex G, Mitski, Japanese Breakfast and more since Dan Plunkett and Blake Carlisle founded the store in 2005.
