Tiger Woods’ mini-golf chain has been popping up all over Texas, and now the popular putt-putt space is setting its sights on a new course within the state’s capital city. PopStroke will be taking over a former sports and entertainment complex in Austin’s second downtown.
Renovations and build-out of PopStroke’s mini-golf courses have been underway all summer at The Pitch, near Parmer Field and the Austin FC training facility in the Tech Ridge area. Once open, PopStroke will fully manage all aspects of The Pitch and offer an expanded version of its signature recreational activities.
“This isn’t a goodbye to The Pitch, it’s the next chapter,” Greg Bartoli, founder and CEO of PopStroke, said in a release. “We’re excited to carry forward what makes this place special and add the PopStroke energy to make it even better, building on The Pitch’s foundation to create one of Austin’s best sports and social hubs.”
Plans for PopStroke’s new location include, ”an enhanced and rebranded dining experience featuring BarTenders Eatery, upgraded event spaces including an e-sports gaming area, and a new full-service ice cream parlor.” The Florida-based company said it will continue to operate The Pitch’s “beloved pickleball courts that locals already enjoy, while adding new experiences throughout the venue.”…
