Tesla Robotaxi Can Now Service All of Texas with Latest Permit

Huge news for Elon Musk and his Tesla Robotaxis. Pretty soon you could see more of these on the road throughout the state.

If you were unaware, Tesla has been offering a Robotaxi service in select parts of Austin, let’s just say a very ‘girthy’ part of Austin. Riders would pay $4.20 when it launched (it has now increased to $6.90), for rides within the state capital. You had to be within the Tesla map to call for a ride and it did not include all of Austin.

Texas Department of Licensing Says Tesla Robotaxis Can Run Statewide

NEWS: Tesla has officially been granted a rideshare license in Texas, which means Tesla will be able to operate its robotaxi service under new regulations governing autonomous vehicles in the state.
