Teddy Swims is an American singer-songwriter. He is known for his creative blends of pop, country, and soul. Swims started his musical career in Georgia in 2011. He blew up in 2019 after he rapped over a track for his friend Addy Maxwell. 2019 is also the year he adopted the stage name “Swims,” which stands for “Someone Who Isn’t Me Sometimes,” referring to his on-stage persona.
