AUSTIN, Texas — A two-day search near the Sandy Creek bridge area concluded Monday with no human or animal remains found, despite reports of decomposition odors.
Travis County officials launched the search Sunday afternoon after a community member reported the smell near the bridge. The search resumed Monday at 7 a.m. with cadaver dogs, handlers and excavation equipment to remove debris.
“After several hours of search, no remains (human or animal) were found,” Hector Nieto, Director of the Travis County Public Information Office, said. “There was still odor, but the dog never alerted to it.”…
