Man who police say stabbed stranger on Austin bus because he looked like his uncle deemed incompetent to stand trial

AUSTIN, Texas — A man who police say admitted to stabbing another man on a CapMetro bus in May has been deemed incompetent to stand trial, according to online court records.

Deepak Kandel was charged with first-degree murder, after police say he admitted to stabbing 30-year-old Akshay Gupta because he resembled his uncle.
