AUSTIN, Texas — The Salvation Army of Austin is calling on the community to help support families experiencing homelessness as the nonprofit kicks off its fifth annual Day of Giving.
The campaign’s goal is to raise $1 million to provide shelter, meals and other critical resources for Central Texans in need. Since 1889, the nonprofit has served as a safety net for people facing housing instability and low-income challenges in the region.
