Second arrest made in fuel pump skimming ring that netted more than $400K

A second arrest has been made in an organized crime case spanning multiple Texas cities.

Investigators from the Texas Financial Crimes Intelligence Center reported that multiple individuals conspired together and engaged in the organized crime scheme to place payment card skimming devices on fuel pumps in order to intercept the debit/card information from victims.

Yosbel Alonso Ayala, 30, of Austin was arrested and charged with the first-degree felony of engaging in organized crime activity and exhibiting a deadly weapon, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Reporter-Telegram…
