AUSTIN, Texas — While the City of Austin gears up for colorful festivities and celebration at Saturday’s Pride Parade, a quieter display of remembrance unfolds in the heart of downtown.
For the past two weeks, the First Baptist Church has been filled with dozens vibrant quilt panels from the National AIDS Memorial Quilt.
“This is an exhibit of 34 blocks of the National AIDS Quilt Memorial,” said Leslie Moore, co-chair of the exhibit. “The panels that we have are all people from Texas.”…
