A beloved barbecue restaurant, and one of the oldest in Texas, suddenly closed its doors last week.
Sam’s Bar-B-Que posted on its Instagram account Saturday that it will be closed until further notice. The family-owned and operated spot has been open in East Austin since 1957. Sam’s sister company, Austin Daiquiri Factory, will also shut down for now. The good news for customers is that the barbecue joint indicated it’s working to get things back up and running.
