AUSTIN, Texas — Authorities charged 10 men in a credit card skimming operation that targeted gas pumps across multiple states.
The Texas Financial Crimes Intelligence Center announced Tuesday that the suspects face charges including engaging in organized criminal activity, a first-degree felony, and unlawful interception of electronic communications, a second-degree felony.
The investigation, which began in 2023, uncovered a network that designed, manufactured and sold skimming devices for fuel pumps. One suspect alone laundered more than $400,000 in a single year, authorities said…
