AUSTIN, Texas — An affidavit obtained by KVUE is revealing new details of what led up to the arrest of a former Eanes ISD student accused of bringing a gun on the Westlake High School campus.
On Sept. 3, several Eanes ISD schools were placed in “SECURE” protocol while district police responded to an incident near Westlake High. The district said it “heard unaffected schools were also placed in SECURE” and was investigating to learn more.
The affidavit states that on Sept. 3, a school resource officer was contacted by the Eanes ISD Police Department chief about a video created the day before that had surfaced. The video allegedly showed a former student with a handgun in his lap, with Westlake High School and students walking in the background on the video.
