Firefighter injured after fire reported at Domain, AFD says

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A firefighter was injured after crews with the Austin Fire Department responded to a fire at Domain in north Austin, said Thayer Smith, AFD assistant chief of operations, during a media briefing Tuesday.

Around 12:45 p.m., AFD crews responded to a report of smoke at an apartment at the Domain, which was “emanating smoke around the Louis Vuitton store” at 11600 Century Oaks Terrace, Smith said.

The fire was upgraded to a second alarm around 1:28 p.m. and then a third-alarm response around 2:46 p.m., Thayer said. He said this happened, because the fire was “very difficult to access” with there being residential areas and stores in the building…
