Red River Rivalry odds shift again morning of game

The betting odds for the Red River Rivalry have changed more than the weather in Oklahoma before the No. 6 Sooners finally play unranked Texas at 2:30 p.m. CT Saturday at Cotton Bowl Stadium.

After Texas was a surprise favorite to start the week on Monday, the odds then swung in the Sooners’ favor after injured OU quarterback John Mateer was listed as probable on Thursday evening. However, on the morning of the game with fans dressed in crimson and burnt orange already filing into the State Fair of Texas, Vegas again has the Longhorns as the favorites.

On Saturday morning, DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM had Texas favored all of a sudden after all had the Sooners favored just the day before. DraftKings and FanDuel put the Sooners as 1.5-point underdogs, while BetMGM had it at only a point, making it where regardless of who’s favored by kickoff, Vegas believes the Red River Rivalry is a toss-up.
