MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- A 69-year-old Austin man was killed early Thursday morning after being struck by a van on Business 20, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
According to officials, the crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on October 16 at Business 20 and County Road 1247. Investigators said a 2023 Ford Transit, driven by 30-year-old Omar Quintero of El Paso, was traveling westbound in the left lane and attempting to merge right when the crash occurred.
DPS reported that the pedestrian, identified as Charles Edward Hall, failed to yield the right of way while standing in the roadway and was hit by the van. Hall was pronounced dead at the scene…
