When it comes to renting a two-bedroom apartment, Salt Lake City and Austin (tied with Leipzig, Germany) were ranked as the most affordable metro areas of 80 global cities analyzed by DWS Group. The top 10 also included Dallas and Atlanta in sixth and seventh place, respectively, along with a handful of large Australian cities.
“U.S. cities continue to be some of the most affordable globally, due to high income levels and often fewer supply barriers,” according to DWS Group’s second annual Housing Affordability Review.
