Child and Two Adults Injured in Southeast Austin Multi-Vehicle Collision

Early Wednesday morning, a multi-vehicle incident in southeast Austin resulted in injuries to three individuals, including a child. The collision occurred near the intersection of East William Cannon and Branchwood Drives, where Austin-Travis County EMS and fire department personnel were dispatched to the scene after a call came in at approximately 6:15 a.m., as reported by CBS Austin.

Emergency responders worked quickly to rescue a person who had become trapped inside a vehicle. This individual was “awake and breathing” at the time of the rescue, according to details provided by the Austin Police Department. After being extricated, two adults were transported to a south Austin hospital; one of whom sustained critical injuries, and another with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. In the midst of an early morning rush to save lives, responders were careful to swiftly but carefully free those trapped within the wreckage.
