APD responds to shooting at Austin Public Library

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said it responded to a call for a shooting shortly after noon Saturday at the Austin Public Library downtown.

APD said one person was injured and taken to the hospital. KXAN was able to confirm the injuries were non-life-threatening.

At the time of the incident, APD said no suspects were in custody. Police described the suspect as a thin Black man who was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, green shorts, black pants, black shoes and two black bags…
