AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Game Wardens are mourning the loss of K9 Turbo, who passed away on October 16. Turbo was a pioneering member of the department’s K9 team, serving with distinction alongside his handler, Isaac Ruiz.
Turbo joined the Texas Game Wardens in 2014 and was dual certified in Police Search and Rescue and Narcotics Detection. He played a crucial role in assisting federal, state, and local law enforcement across South Texas and the Texas-Mexico border, according to a press release from the department.
