North Austin just got a double helping of flavor.
Churchrow Tejas BBQ is the brainchild of two well-known Austin restaurateurs: Simon Madera, the operator behind La Holly and Taco Flats, and Miguel Vidal, the former pitmaster at the beloved but now-closed Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ. The longtime friends met during their college days at St. Edward’s University.
“We are aligned with the way we think about food and about what we want to accomplish,” Madera said. “The past is the past, and I think the soul of Valentina’s and him and how he wants to cook is here.”…
