Austin Police have arrested five people after discovering a woman handcuffed and severely injured outside a home on Bitter Creek Drive Thursday morning.
On October 30, 2025, around 9:09 a.m., officers responded to a welfare check at 1700 Bitter Creek Drive after receiving reports of a woman in distress who appeared to be restrained and calling for help. When officers arrived, they found an adult woman handcuffed to a piece of exercise equipment outside the residence. She showed visible signs of injury and appeared to have been restrained for an extended period of time.
Officers immediately worked to free the woman and called for assistance from Austin Fire and Austin-Travis County EMS. Due to the heavy-duty metal restraints, officers had to cut through the links to release her safely. The woman was taken to a local hospital, where she remains under care…
