TEXAS — As the government shutdown continues, millions of Americans are bracing for the loss of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. An Austin-area mother shares her story.

“I’ve been on SNAP for four-plus years, and this would be the first time that I wouldn’t be able to depend on SNAP to feed myself and my kids. This is not okay,” said Woodisha. “It’s not okay. How do we feed our kids?”
