AUSTIN, Texas — Drivers and guests will notice a large presence of first responders at Barton Creek Square Mall starting Sunday evening and going into Monday morning.
The ALERRT Center is working with Austin-Travis County EMS, the Austin Fire Department, and the Austin Police Department on a combined active shooter response training. The training is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday and run through 6 a.m. on Monday.
In addition to these first responder vehicles, the training will include simulated firearms, simulated casualties, and bystanders. There will also be drones that will only be used at the mall…
