On November 6, 2025, a single vehicle collision on the 11200 block of Anderson Mill Road claimed the life of Monika Cox, a white female born on September 7, 1946. The Austin Police Department reported that Cox was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries following the incident, which occurred at around 9:28 a.m. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the hospital days later.
This tragedy marks the city’s 82nd fatal car crash of the year, leading to a total of 86 fatalities thus far.
