AUSTIN (Nexstar) — Four months have passed since the deadly 4th of July flooding that impacted many parts of Central Texas. Families of Camp Mystic victims are now filing multiple lawsuits against the camp, alleging “gross negligence,” and arguing that the 27 young campers and counselors could have been saved.
“It’s the worst thing that’s ever happened in their lives and they just want answers,” said Austin attorney Randy Howry, a partner with the firm Howry, Breen and Herman.
Additionally, State Rep. Erin Gámez, D-Brownsville, is among of group of politicians pushing for a “review” of the state’s river authorities to see if an election model could “improve accountability and transparency.”…
