Man sentenced in 2024 north Austin deadly stabbing

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced on Sept. 2 in connection with a 2024 deadly stabbing at a north Austin home that left one person dead and several injured, according to Travis County court documents.

The documents said that then 26-year-old Jose Martinez-Argueta pleaded guilty to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Toward his sentence, he received 591 days of jail credit.
