HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Hays County officials advised the public to avoid the Hilliard Road area, which stretches from northwest San Marcos to near the Blanco River, on Tuesday due to a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) operation.
Hays County Judge Becerra told KXAN that as of Wednesday afternoon, he still hadn’t heard from any official source about why agents raided a San Marcos residence. He said local officials were typically notified about similar operations in the past.

“Tell us that you’re coming, or tell us that you were here,” Becerra said. “When there are people driving around with guns and all this other effort, they should let us know. I just think that’s common courtesy, and we deserve to know as elected officials.”
