AUSTIN, Texas (TCN) — A 24-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder after his 63-year-old roommate was found dead in a cardboard box behind a bus stop.
At 5:22 p.m. on Nov. 13, the Austin Police Department responded to a call about a deceased man behind a bus stop, they said in a news release. When officers arrived, they discovered the body of Robert Wentworth inside a large cardboard box. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Austin American-Statesman, the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and neck, and the death was ruled a homicide. The lack of blood evidence at the scene led investigators to believe that the body had been moved, according to the outlet…
