Hill Country man gets 15 years in intoxication manslaughter case

A Hays County man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after being found guilty of felony intoxication manslaughter for causing a fatal wreck in 2022.

Royce Robison, 26, of Kyle, was legally drunk when he drove through a stop sign at Clovis Barker Road and FM 123 on Dec. 2, 2022 and smashed into the driver’s side door of a vehicle that was turning into the entrance of a residence, according to the Hays County District Attorney’s Office. The vehicle’s driver, 58-year-old Crisanta Cazares, died in the crash.
