The Houston-area suburb of Spring became the end of the road Monday for a Bastrop woman wanted in an Austin homicide, after authorities tracked her down on an active murder warrant tied to a downtown shooting last month that left a man dead. Reporting and officials identified the suspect as 34-year-old Kimberly Sotelo.
According to the Elgin Courier, Sotelo was taken into custody Dec. 1 after U.S. Marshals and Montgomery County deputies located her in the Spring area and arrested her without incident. The outlet reported she is being held pending transfer to the county that issued the warrant.
Victim Identified In Downtown Shooting
As outlined by the Austin Police, the victim in the November shooting was identified as 50-year-old Gared Goff, who was pronounced dead at the intersection of E. 5th Street and Trinity Street.
