Texas faces defending national champs after easy 1st round win over Florida A&M

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas moved to 42-0 all-time in the first round of the NCAA volleyball tournament, making easy work of Florida A&M in straight sets Friday at Gregory Gym.

Texas overwhelmed the Rattlers, champions of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, 25-11, 25-8 and 25-14. The Longhorns cranked 42 kills and held Florida A&M to a negative hitting percentage, -.027, meaning the Rattlers had more attacking errors than kills.
