AUSTIN (KXAN)— Law enforcement in East Texas exposed what they call a dog fighting ring, which led to 45 arrests.
Now, two of the abused dogs will be rehabilitated in Austin, said a Houston rescue, Santo’s Sanctuary & Rescue.
On Nov. 22, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office, located outside of Houston, said it busted the ring.
The agency said in a social media post that it was “one of the most disturbing crimes [it has] ever witnessed.”
