AUSTIN, Texas —Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and the Texas Department of Agriculture recently hosted agricultural and epidemiological leaders from across Latin America in Austin for a two-day meeting aimed at tackling the threat of the New World screwworm.
The event, coordinated by state and federal agencies and producer organizations at the request of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and Global Texas, brought together experts from Mexico, Central America, and the United States.
