BUDA, Texas (KXAN) — If you thought Santa was an old man who lives in the North Pole, you may be surprised to find out Santa is actually a 62-year-old Texas woman… at least for one neighborhood.
Holly Durham, who lives in the Sunfield community in Buda, set up a “Letters to Santa” mailbox for Christmas six years ago, and she’s been putting it up every year since. It’s up for just a few weeks leading up to the holiday, at 186 Yellowbark Street, Buda.
The mailbox receives hundreds of letters each year, and Holly responds to almost every single one of them with a typed out, personalized letter along with a plushie toy and candy cane…
