AUSTIN (KXAN) — A helicopter was hit by a round from a “high-powered firearm” on Nov. 10 in Bastrop County, Texas, about 30 miles from Austin, according to a social media post from the county’s sheriff.
The helicopter was “conducting surveying flights” for Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative at the time, over the unincorporated communities of Red Rock and Rosanky.
