On a chilly December night, tragedy struck the 11900 block of N. IH-35 SVRD SB, when a man was shot and left without a name amongst the living. The Austin Police Department (APD) responded to a distress call on Wednesday, December 17, at approximately 11:21 p.m., which led them to the victim of a fatal shooting.
Local law enforcement found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head; the suspects had already fled the scene. In less than 10 minutes after the APD’s arrival, the unidentified Hispanic male victim was pronounced dead, sending shockwaves through a community already grappling with violence.
